Taro Okamoto (1911-1996), one of Japan's most famous artists, traveled to Okinawa in 1959 and 1966. The reason for these trips was his journey to rediscover Japan, in search of his identity as a Japanese person. More than 60 years ago, Okamoto captured the "poignant tenderness of life" of the people, and concluded: "It is in Okinawa that we can find the lost. In Okinawa, I rediscovered myself for the first time." This documentary goes on a journey through Okinawa led by Okamoto himself, 50 years after Okinawa's reversion to Japan.

An upstanding young man’s racy adventure filled with conspiracies and love.

Taro Shiraga (played by Ninomi Kobayashi), nicknamed “Shigarami Taro”, works in the insurance company’s contract management division. Officially, his role is to entertain insurance saleswomen and encourage them to improve their sales performance. Behind the scenes, however, he is a shrewd investigator of insurance pay-outs. Whenever an incident occurs, his “eyes” at the scene are sharp and discerning. Yet this hidden side of him remains unknown to his colleagues and family. One day, Taro is instructed to go to Matsue under the pretence of entertaining saleswomen from the Matsue branch. In reality, it is an assignment to investigate an insurance claim.

Hatsuko, a nurse who was put in charge of Room Zero in the pediatric ward, couldn't believe her eyes when she entered the room. There she found a boy named Tarou, 1 year and 4 months old, a lump of flesh with no human shape whatsoever. Hatsuko was so shocked that she even wanted to quit the hospital, but as she worked hard to nurse Tarou, who had never even been held by his own mother, she began to feel affection for him.
